Green Celebrity of the Month - Alanis Morissette

Take the time to listen to the songs of Alanis Morrissette and begin to appreciate and feel her fury and rage with life. Each song is performed perfectly though her creative and unrestricted expressions to capture her rebellious mood and feelings.

Where’s all the anger gone now? Well she is in her mid 30s and I guess maturity, tranquility and a bit of wisdom is starting to set in. She’s still the vocal — ‘Get out of my way I’ll do whatever I want’ Alanis. But now she’s found a way to creatively channel that energy into other worthy causes, like helping to Green the earth and environment.

Use Rosehip Oil as Your Anti-Aging Weapon!

Roses are red, violets are blue, if anti-aging is your goal, then rosehip oil is for you….. OK that’s pretty lame. Hope nobody cringed with goosebumps listening to my amature poetry rhyme. But the benefits of rosehip oil is endless. It has been scientifically proven to improve dry skin, scarring, pigmentations, fine-lines, wrinkles, stretch marks, skin elasticity and sun damage.

Rosehip oil comes from the “hip” of the rose, which is the seed pod or fruit of the rose that occurs after the rose petals fall off. Rosehip Oil is most effective as a daily moisturiser for the face and body, leaving your skin feeling soft and hydrated all day long. It specifically targets to enhance your skins barrier function by delivering skin compatible lipids that are undetectable on the surface of the skin, providing daily protection from dehydrating environmental conditions.

The Right Way to Apply Essential Oils

I was asked recently by my good friend Elisa the different ways you can apply essential oils and whether different application techniques led to different therapeutic results. In answer to her question, I first needed to find out Elisa’s intended therapeutic goal in order for me to give the correct delivery method.

Broadly speaking, most people use essential oils for the skin, for sinus problems, for house hold purpose, for allergies, for relaxation, colds and flu, or for muscle tension. In Elisa’s case, her goal was to alleviate the painful menstrual cramps and sore back muscles.
